Research Projects

蜜桃影像传媒 research incorporates multiple disciplines of social sciences and humanities with projects and publications focused on several areas. We have teams working on topics in Policy Analysis, Transnational Processes as well as Transnational History and International Affairs. Find the recent major projects below. The new study on 鈥楢 New Approach Towards Tobacco Legislation: The Case for Harm Reduction in CEE and the EU鈥� examines the fundamental principles of tobacco policy and their applications.

New Generation of Traffic Accidents Statistics

The project "New Generation of Traffic Accidents Statistics for Police CR" led by Dr. Peter Bolcha is financed by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic. The team -from both 蜜桃影像传媒 and partner Faculty of Law at Charles University- creates a new generation of traffic accident statistics for Czech Police Headquarters.

Comparing Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic

The project "Comparing Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic: Alternative Leadership Styles in the V4" led by Prof. Milada Poli拧ensk谩 is financed by the International Visegrad Fund. The international team employs the interdisciplinary approach with intention to bring new insights to this complex issue.

Post-Pandemic Labor Participation Policies

The project 鈥淧rogress and Challenges of Labor Participation Policies for the Post-COVID-19 Pandemic Economic Recovery鈥� is led by Lourdes Aramayo, Ph.D. The aim is to study the policies that promote labor participation in Latin America, the Caribbean, and the European Union, with a special focus on the policies that seek to reduce the pandemic impact.

Readiness of Czech System for Digitalization of Health Services

The project led by Dr Mat臎j Opatrn媒 is financed by a private partner. The team -from both 蜜桃影像传媒 and partner Center For Economic and Market Analysis- prepares a comprehensive study on the digitalization of health services in the Czech Republic. Korean Security and the 65 Year Search for Peace

A 2018 conference, led by Prof. Milada Poli拧ensk谩, and supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. Accompanied by an exhibition, the conference focused on the Neutral Nations Repatriation Commission and the Supervisory Commissions in Korea.

Democratic Recessions in the Post-Communist and Muslim World

Led by Pelin Ayan Musil, Ph.D. and financed by the Czech Science Foundation, this project aims to theorize why democratically elected governments transgress their democratic limits and breach separation of powers in favor of a powerful executive. (Page 1)

Interdisciplinary Conference on Human Rights

Led by Peter Bolcha, and financed by the Czech National Bank and Interfaith Youth Corps, the conference commemorated important 20th-century dates in human rights history, with anniversaries in 2019, and with a link to the Central European region.

Korea and the Czech Republic: Retracing the Path to Independence

A follow up to the previous symposium, this event commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Korean Provisional Government. The event was led by Prof. Milada Poli拧ensk谩, and financed by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.

Transformation of the Islamist Parties: Findings from Turkey

Led by Pelin Ayan Musil, Ph.D. and financed by the Czech Science Foundation, this project aims to provide a theoretical understanding of the changing position of Islamist parties on democratic and authoritarian ideas. (Page 2)

Other Projects

  • 鈥嬧�婦esign in Practice
    • The aim of the project was to create a comprehensive survey across Czech companies that revealed their usage and opinions about design thinking and its applications in everyday business. The project was led by our School of Business Administration team. (More information coming soon.)
